This image was captured just as the sun was setting. The great blue heron flew in and was captured in the last rays of light before the sun vanished. It was truly breathtaking to see.

The white Necked Jacobin was such a beautiful species of hummingbird that I spent extra time trying to capture him out in the open as they do occasionally hover for a second or two. The gardens that they frequent are filled with flowering bushes and it can be a challenge to get one as they dart from flower to flower . If you guess where he will go next then you have it made but that does not happen very often.
