The Colosseum could hold, it is estimated, between 50,000 and 80,000 spectators and was used for gladiatorial contests and public spectacles such as mock sea battles, animal hunts, executions, re-enactments of famous battles, and dramas based on Classical mythology.

The building ceased to be used for entertainment in the early medieval era. It was later reused for such purposes as housing, workshops, quarters for a religious order, a fortress, a quarry, and a Christian shrine.

The Colosseum or Coliseum, also known as the Flavian Amphitheater is an elliptical amphitheater in the centre of the city of Rome, Italy. Built of concrete and stone it is the largest amphitheater ever built and is considered one of the greatest works of architecture and engineering.

Not to be confused with Colossus, who is a fictional superhero appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics.

When we finished some other compositions of this waterfall my friends told me to move to some another spot for some sunset shots. On our way back I spotted this place and I found it really interesting as the water was moving both horizontally and vertically. But they were in so much hurry they said only one shot. I tried 1 sec exposure though it is quite high for the horizontal motion. I should have taken another exposure. May be next time.
