During April 2016 I hiked up Pen Y Fan in the Brecon Beacons National Park with my partner Nadia. When we stopped off at the highest peak confronted by this view there was no option but to get as many shots as we could before collecting the cheese and ham sandwiches from our bag and enjoying a well earned rest.

Mount Taranaki, also called Mount Egmont, is located in New Zealand’s north island. The reflection of the mountain is one of the most common pictures of this mountain.

It’s usually covered with clouds. I was extremely lucky to capture it because the weather was terrible for most of the day and I couldn’t see the mountain. Just before sunset the weather got clear and I ran from the hut to take some photos of it.
