I like the combination of the little 12-32 mm lens combined with a stabilized sensor for such shots (no tripod possible, not much time to position).

New on 500px : Station by hlinkazsolt by hlinkazsolt

The Station photo series shows stillness, motion, standing time, volatile moment parallel, creating a harmonious unit with each other due to the cleared geometry of these photos. A stronger contrast is tensed within the strictly constructed, unmovable unit, but the definite lines of still building parts and disembodied blurring of running vehicles give them their true meaning right next to each other. At the same time here and anywhere. At the same time in the past, present and future. Watching the Station series photographs, you may be able to feel it better: neither the moment exists without permanence, nor does permanence without the moment. http://ift.tt/1Q507H0

New on 500px : The Mad Hatter’s Labyrinth by Turnipfarmer by Turnipfarmer

Embankment Underground Station, London, England – http://ift.tt/V5qrF7

One for my ‘Conception Fabrication’ collection, this is one of the tunnels at Embankment Tube Station but its my interpretation of it and hope you like it.

I hadn’t visited this station in a few years as it was undergoing a major refurbishment and to my astonishment they had got rid of the dark blue tiles that lined this tunnel and replaced them with a cream coloured version which in my opinion I don’t like and look horrid! The blue tiles I felt gave the station character although it did make it a little dingy in places which I suppose is why they got rid of them and I got to thank those cream tiles as it made the job easier in creating this high key feel.

Hope you are all having a great day and many thanks for your comments on my photo yesterday.

New on 500px : The View from my Favourite Armchair by Turnipfarmer by Turnipfarmer

Bank-Monument Underground Station, London, England – http://ift.tt/V5qrF7

Busy weekend just gone for me. On Saturday I was busy photographing a wedding with fellow Mark Hepples, got some good photos too and also gave me the chance to try out the awesome Sony A7S which we both hired out! May share a couple of photos with you all sometime.

Anyway, this is an old photo and reworked photo. One of my favourite stations on the London Underground network to photograph although I am sure people who use it on a daily basis for commuting would probably disagree with me as it does get horrendously busy at peak times and often platforms have to be closed off until crowding eases!

Luckily I got a quiet day when I took this photo, something that doesn’t happen very often. I am planning on going down to London this week sometime all being well and looking forward to getting some photos of the new tunnel at Canary Wharf Crossrail station and also at the same time get my new medium format Film camera serviced whilst I down there too.

I hope you are all having a stunning Monday.

New on 500px : Beantown Trespassing by morganpt by morganpt

I wanted to portray the sleepy, chill vibe of Beantown as if it were on speed. As I was waiting for the perfect moment where the train came around the corner, I was approached by the Boston Police. They were wondering what I was doing. In hind sight, I should have realized that taking photos of trains looked suspicious. They were cool though and after a background check, let me continue my work:-)

I posted this a little while ago for like ten minutes before realizing I put a pre-cropped image. Sorry for those who already “liked” it.
