I was photographing the local birds from a floating hide when it started to rain. The Pelican’s stopped interacting and lined up facing into the wind/rain and opened their bills – this is how Pelicans drink!

I was concealed in a floating hide when these curious fellows paddled over for a closer look. The sun was not yet up but the rose pink sky reflected beautifully on the calm waters
