This magnificent structure is an 19th century rococo palace. It is a UNESCO world heritage site for a reason. It managed to survived WW2 due to a very smart architect. The interior is absolutely magnificent and although I had seen around 20 palaces this one stunned me. Sadly photos inside are not allowed so you have to go see it for yourself 🙂

This is the beautiful Schloss Philippsruhe located in Hanau, Germany. That is 30 minutes away from Frankfurt. The palace is amazing both on the inside and the outside. It also features a small but beautiful garden. Being on the banks of Main river makes the place even better for visit 🙂

Es verleiht dem Eingang zur Innenstadt Burgsteinfurt etwas Pompöses, etwas Adliges und einen ganz besonderen Charme. Ja, es lässt eine Kulisse entstehen, die vor allem in den Sommermonaten nicht schöner sein könnte.

Das Schloss, eine der ältesten, mächtigsten und schönsten Wasserburgen des Münsterlands, wurde im Laufe der Zeit mehrmals zerstört und wieder aufgebaut und erweitert und zeigt heute noch facettenreiche Elemente aus Romanik, Rokoko und Klassizismus. Weil die Landschaft weder hohe Berge noch schroffe Klippen ausweisen konnte, ließen die damaligen Baumeister breite Wassergräben und künstliche Inseln anlegen, auf denen sie ihre Festungsanlage errichteten.

Ebenfalls erschufen die dlen Herrendas Fundament für die Stadt Steinfurt: Im Schutze der Burg entstand die erste Marktsiedlung, die tatt o Stenvorde

Heute bewohnen die Nachfahren der Erbauer, die Familien des Fürsten zu Bentheim und Steinfurt, das Schloss. Aus diesem Grunde ist eine Besichtigung derzeit auch nicht möglich die Fürstenfamilie bittet hier um Verständnis.
