I got this frame in Southern CA late last year when photographing with my good friend David Salem. We used Dave’s truck as a blind to get close to the raptors that are very skittish. We got lucky with this hawk that took off in an ideal angle. Hope you like it
Shot with 1DX and 400 DO II + 2X III. ISO 1600. 1/1250sec at f/8. Processed with DPP 4.3. This lens is ideal for shooting from a confined vehicle.
