I was walking over to the Latin Quarter in Paris to have some dinner. I happened to have my camera with me. Walking across the Pont d’Austerlitz bridge I looked up and saw the sunset. Not having a lot of time, I pulled up the camera and made an educated guess at some settings (I was in manual mode) and took the shot. I didn’t even look at the image after I shot it and just headed off for dinner. When I got back to my hotel and pulled it up on the computer I saw this composition.

Moral: If you don’t have your camera you’re never going to get the shot, and if you have your camera sometimes you get lucky! 😉
