Springday at the Windmills, with a Poem 😉

Wind in bushes and bird piping
And high in the highest fresh blue
A haughty cloud ship, becalmed …
I dream of a blond woman,
I dream of my youth,
The high heaven blue and outspread
Is the cradle of my longing
Where I choose to lie calm
And blessedly warm
With the soft humming,
Just like a child held
On his mother’s arm.

Memorable experiences in Amsterdam

Nothing lasts forever, so live it up, drink it down, laugh it off, avoid the nonsense, take chances, and never have regrets – because at one point, everything you did, was exactly what you wanted 😉

And if you prefer to rent a private boat instead of a traditional bus-like canal cruise, hit me 😉

Keizersgracht (Emperor’s Canal)

‘All the world is built around Amsterdam,’ wrote the famous Dutch poet Joost van den Vondel in the 17th century. That golden age was a period of unprecedented wealth and prosperity for Amsterdam. The old area of the town within the Singel canal burst out of its seams, so the ring of canals was designed to accommodate the sorely needed town expansion. The three main canals, Herengracht, Keizersgracht and Prinsengracht, were dug around the mediaeval town centre and were connected by side-streets.
