All youngsters love to play and the ellies are no different than any other young animal. It was awesome to see these two race to the waterhole and oh what fun they had. Incredible to see them living the life they were meant to live. Free and enjoying their great surroundings. Keep praying for their safety as it is truly a problem that has increased drastically.

This dynamic duo of sub-adult polar bears could always be counted on for entertain and photo ops as they played in the frigid waters off the coast of Barter Island near Kaktovik, Alaska. If they weren’t dunking each other, posturing for a “fight”, or submerging themselves for a surprise attack, they were floating around in circles and usually finding the camera lens for a brief moment. 🙂

New on 500px : Monkey Making The Plunge !!!!!!!!!!!!!! by judylynn by judylynn

This was taken just as the Rhesus monkey was making the plunge into the river to have just one more swim. They were wonderful to watch as they went about their daily activities. Sometimes they were seen eating, other times swimming and then of course the very important moments when they check each other for anything that should not be there such as parasites. They are so thorough as they check and do not miss a spot. It was an awesome afternoon and not one that we will soon forget. Memories for a lifetime.
