I know this is a photo taken at a zoo (the Phoenix Zoo; and it kills me that it’s not from the “wild”), but there is something so magical and amazing about watching a mother orangutan interacting with its child that’s so familiar and fantastic, especially when my wife and I were watching this scene with our own kids.

The love and affection and interaction between them was unlike anything I’ve ever seen in a zoo before, proving a Mother’s Love is unconditional

Taken on Wednesday at the Phoenix Zoo.
Sony A99 , ISO 400 at 400mm using a Sony 70-400mm f/4-5.6 G SSM super telephoto lens.
