On Friday, September 18, the 31st Street Pub in Pittsburgh, PA, came to a close. After 50 plus years of operation. I was going to place as soon as I turned 21 to see and photograph shows. Eventually, I even began to play shows here with various bands I was in. Definitely a lot of fun memories, which prompted me to look for some good shots when I was still taking photos of shows there.

Here we have Bob Log III. One of the most bizarre and hilarious shows I have attended. I have seen him before, but the joy of the Pub is you can seriously just walk right up to the stage. No one jumps on or does anything stupid. They mostly respect the space of those playing.

I know it’s better to upload more recent photos, but I just felt it was necessary for the moment and this was one of my favorite shots from that show. Being surrounded by a large crowd, but being arms length from the stage was always part of the fun.
