Of course, looking at the condition of the tape, having baked in this window probably for a very long while, I’d imagine whatever music was on the Mercury label open reel tape would sound like it was playing under five fathoms of water…that is, if the rubber idlers inside the Sony had not turned to mush…
But I must say the display window of this “vinyl shop” was a genuine eye-catcher as I strolled along Annapolis’ Maryland Avenue in search of interesting motifs on this summer afternoon.
Appropriately enough, the image is “analog” through and through (at least up to the scanning stage), taken on “vintage” (but refrigerated) Ferrania Solaris-200 film through a manual focus Takumar 28mm lens on my Pentax ME Super.
