In Arrecife on Lanzarote you can find the Castillo de San Gabriel (Castle of Saint Gabriel) which is located on a tiny island called Islote de los Ingleses (Islet of the English). To find your way to the castle you pass over the Puente de las Bolas (Ball Bridge), a small drawbridge with two cannonballs on top of its pillars. Early in the morning fishermen are trying their luck on this picturesque bridge.
