This (unedited) image depicts a restored building, dating back to 1900, that is officially known as the “Residence of Tan Teng Niah” and is one of the last surviving Chinese villas in Singapore’s Little India area. It was built by a prominent businessman, Tan Teng Niah, for his wife, and is now a commercial property. (Can you see the many rows of exterior lights along sections of the wall?)
