New on 500px : Oxburgh Hall in 720 IR by davidbaterip by davidbaterip

Oxburgh Hall was built in the late 1400s by Sir Edmund Bedingfeld. Though the Hall appears fortified the moat and crenellations are aesthetic rather than defensive in nature.

Now managed by the National Trust the building has undergone many changes since its original design.

This shot is a Stiched Panorama incorporating 6 vertical frames from a DIY modified D80 with a 720 filter fitted.

New on 500px : Spring in the Park by tcdeveau by tcdeveau

Was a gorgeous weekend last weekend in Atlanta for shooting so went out and did a little with my newly converted full-spectrum Sony A7R. Conversion was done by Lifepixel. I had a 720nm IR filter on the lens. Image is a handheld 3-image stich with the Sony 55mm FE 1.8. Black and white conversion done in camera, stiching done in Photoshop, otherwise no other manipulations were made. Having a lot of fun shooting infrared and can’t wait to do more.

New on 500px : Cherry blossoms over Jefferson IR mono by izzy2 by izzy2

Springtime cherry blossom watch and festival is one of the popular Washington DC annual celebration events. It started with a gift of 2000 Japanese cherry trees from Tokyo mayor to the city of Washington in 1912. Majority of cherry trees in the DC area now are single white blossom Yoshino (around the Tidal Basin) and Kwanzan cherry trees elsewhere. The first annual Cherry Blossom Festival took place in 1935. The festival includes 10 mile run, kite flying, Japanese stone lantern lighting, fireworks and parade and lasts 3 weeks and is attended by nearly million visitors.
