The Winter of Arctic, the lightest it gets is a dark-blue sky in the middle of the day for maybe 3 hours, if the sky is clear. The ground is covered in ice and the cold winds combined with the ambient darkness tend to make you slip. In big towns though, it’s perfectly alright with street-lights constantly on. In the countryside though, the darkness prevails everywhere and stepping anywhere outside the safe borders of a house or hamlet can be a bit spooky but in a fascinating, almost serene way. In this period, the only natural light we get comes from the Moon and after several weeks of solar absence, the light of the Full moon can sometimes almost blind you. Sometimes you end up blinded by the Northern Lights though.
