Aún te veo ahí arriba, soy la tierra, tu tierra, siempre observándote.
Te he visto germinar, según crecías, cómo evolucionaban tus ramas,
el ofrecimiento de tus frutos,
gracias a tus raíces ancladas en mi yo me sentía fuerte,
la sombra de tus hojas me salvaban de secarme
y yo podía hacerte llegar mi alimento,
me he sentido triste al ver como te alejabas hacia arriba,
pero a la vez alegre porque siempre lo hacías con nuevas hojas y frutos.
Ya no cae tu fruto maduro sobre mi,
ni salen en tus ramas las hojas que filtraban los rayos del sol,
ya no corre mi alimento hacia tu savia.
Pero yo sigo aquí, sintiendo aún tus raíces que me mantienen firme,
viendo la silueta de lo que eras, una bella silueta recortada en el cielo,
un maravilloso recuerdo.
Soy la tierra que te dio la vida y que te vio crecer.
Perdurará un encantador recuerdo de ti, hijo de la tierra,
porque has sabido dar y recibir.
