This is the most iconic building in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, the 2019 European Capital of Culture. This ancient theatre was built in early 2nd century during the reign of roman emperor Trajan(98–117 AD). It was discovered in the late 60s during excavations, rebuilt and ever since used again as a theatre and concert arena.
