The water in the dog bowl outside froze last night, creating a thin disk of ice. I held it up to the light – an altar of the dogs. 🙂
It was just a disk of clear ice. I’m not sure why the edge ended up looking so gray. It may have something to do with the curvature of the ice on the edges. The center was flat and clear (except for the bubbles) so I could see the sky through it.
In case you were wondering, I only have one dog. The title is a play on words. The Altar of the Twelve Gods is an ancient altar and sanctuary in Athens.
