New on 500px : Owharoa Falls by gustavorr by gustavorr

Owharoa Falls. New Zealand.

New on 500px : Hengifoss by darkelfphotography by darkelfphotography

Hengifoss is a very rewarding tall waterfall right at the end of the hike. It is the third highest waterfall in Iceland with a drop of 128 meters. Due to heavy rains, the stream was rather rapid and deep in places, which prevented me from getting closer to the fall.

My first photo since moving to Seattle. I spent an evening at this beautiful waterfall with friends Michael Bollino and Jim Newkirk. Definitely excited to finally be settled in from the move and out exploring the area.

New on 500px : Chasing Clouds by BrandtM by BrandtM

Though this has been shot a million times and I have been down there several times, the one thing that has eluded me to date is catching some good evening clouds. Finally I was able to catch some pretty good, though not spectacular, clouds.

This shot is a double vertical panorama merged, one set of vertical pano shots for the canyon and another set for the sky. Essentially the same technique I used for a Milky Way falls shot last summer, but this time I could see the end of the cliff drop off.

Now is the time to for photographing the Palouse, if interested in a private workshop please stop by and check out the details Workshops

New on 500px : Verdant Stream by efossati by efossati

Finally a shot from my land: Piemonte. Is a recent work taken with my friend Gianluca Podestà during a very pleasent afternoon in the deep of the woods. Best viewd on black as usual.

I would like to remind everyone who is interested in my work that this summer I will be conducting a workshop in the Italian Dolomites as a co-leader with Erin Babnik http://ift.tt/1rnl8hG. This amazing tour of six days will take place in the heart of one of the most beautiful alpine environments in the world. During the workshop we will teach everything that is needed for master landscape photography, getting the most out of even the weakest light and the worst weather. Contact us to receive our beautiful brochure that contains all of the details regarding this exciting workshop.
