New on 500px : Furiosa by jaychong by jaychong

“Furiosa”

Submerged by the on coming tide, I was mesmerized by the glow of the setting sun on the marine layer. I was told by Jeff Lewis #escaype that there would be high clouds burning. As the sun set, I had picked a composition around the said high clouds. Just as I turned to the side I saw this bright burning ball light up the marine layer. I have been told it is quite a rare occurrence. The furious burn along with the crashing fury of the waves, brings Furiosa (I watched the new Mad Max and I love the name of the character).

Techy Stuff: I blended 4 shots. 1 for the sky, 1 for the rocks, 2 for the water. Shot with Canon 5D MK II /w 16-35 F4 IS L at 16mm. Processed with Adobe CC /w TK Actions.

Would be greatful if you would share and like 🙂

you might have to fight to survive, but if you love what you do and why you do it, nothing will be able to stop you.

#escaype isn’t an app. it’s a way of life.

p.s. this is several exposures blended together, all from the same scene.

New on 500px : Marshall’s Fury by fzaidi by fzaidi

Best viewed in Black.

Went to the Marshall Beach to take photos of the Golden Gate Bridge. The cloud covered until 30 minutes before sunset prevented any direct sun light. However, just around sunset the sun went close enough to the horizon to peak through the gap left and the sky lit up with colors for a few minutes. I quickly changed directions of the camera and tried to capture this beautiful sunset. The tides were also pretty high at the time and occasionally I had to hold on to my tripod which was dug pretty deep in the sand to prevent myself from losing balance as a result of the receding waves. In the end it was all worth it!
