New on 500px : London in the Fog by PhotosByMaxime by PhotosByMaxime

On a few rare mornings in London, it gets incredibly foggy- this was one of them (1st Nov 2015). It was so thick you could barely see 20m in front of you. I happened to be on the south bank of the thames near tower bridge when it started to blow away. The result was a photo that looks like it was taken in the 1800 at the time of the London docklands! A simple colour grading was added in photoshop later to make it look not so grey.

New on 500px : Weathered And Worn by chasingthelight10 by chasingthelight10

Old wood pilings along the shoreline at Astoria, Oregon. I found out from shooting with Art Wolfe a while back that he totally loves photographing these old pilings in water that occur quite frequently along the Oregon coastline. Now he’s got me hooked. They make great foregrounds for the grand view as well as abstracts when you can fill the frame with them.

New on 500px : Gloucester Tall Ships 2015 by oherbold by oherbold

After thousands of visitors finally disappeared from Gloucester Docks Tall Ships Festival 2015, it was time for me to enjoy a stroll around the main basin. The peaceful blue hour scenery was such a strong contrast to the crowded and loud daytime.
