New on 500px : Fall River Pass by dibblebill by dibblebill

The view from the Alpine Visitor Center atop Rocky Mountain National Park is nothing less than stunning. Stretching out below is the Fall River Pass, where it empties into a marshy valley.

New on 500px : Old Fall River Road, July 2016 by dibblebill by dibblebill

Old Fall River Road was first opened in 1920. It is 11 miles long and follows Fall River from a valley up to the top, with a posted speed limit of 15 miles per hour. There are no guard rails and the road is narrow, but it is safe. Expect to see marmots if you journey up this way!

New on 500px : Rifle Falls State Park by ocediis by ocediis

So I’ve finally gotten home after a great several days on the road. On my last road-day, I took the opportunity to get off the interstate and swing through Rifle Falls State Park as I was passing by Rifle, Colorado. I got there pretty much first thing in the morning, and it was FREEZING! But since the sun saw still low, it was only reflecting off of some the steam rising off the falling water (as you can see on the left side of the picture). This allowed me to get a much clearer shot of more of the falls.

This was shot on Ilford HP5 4×5-inch black and white film at the box ISO of 400 and stand developed with Rodinol.
