Taken 16 photos within 3 secs and stack them to minimise the noise. The cloud’s shape becomes a little bit blur though.

New on 500px : Enchanting Mont-Saint-Michel in Normandy (France) by JazzMatezz by JazzMatezz

[ENG] Le Mont-Saint-Michel (English: Saint Michael’s Mount) is an island commune in Normandy, France. It is located about one kilometre (0.6 miles) off the country’s northwestern coast, at the mouth of the Couesnon River near Avranches. 100 hectares (247 acres) in size. As of 2009, the island has a population of 44.

The island has held strategic fortifications since ancient times and since the 8th century AD has been the seat of the monastery from which it draws its name. The structural composition of the town exemplifies the feudal society that constructed it: on top, God, the abbey and monastery; below, the great halls; then stores and housing; and at the bottom, outside the walls, houses for fishermen and farmers.

Its unique position — on an island just 600 metres from land — made it accessible at low tide to the many pilgrims to its abbey, but defensible as an incoming tide stranded, drove off, or drowned would-be assailants. The Mont remained unconquered during the Hundred Years’ War; a small garrison fended off a full attack by the English in 1433. The reverse benefits of its natural defence were not lost on Louis XI, who turned the Mont into a prison. Thereafter the abbey began to be used more regularly as a jail during the Ancien Régime.

One of France’s most recognizable landmarks, visited by more than 3 million people each year, Mont Saint-Michel and its bay are on the UNESCO list of World Heritage Sites. Over 60 buildings within the commune are protected in France as monuments historiques.

New on 500px : Blue hour in Zaanse schans (The Netherlands) by JazzMatezz by JazzMatezz

I borrowed an OLYMPUS OM-D E-M5ii with Olympus 12-40mm 2.8 lens for free on 6 May 2016 for a weekend. The day after I decided to go to The Zaanse Schans, a windmill and museum park in Noord-Holland province which was the most popular attraction with foreign tourists in the Netherlands last year. After arriving just 15 min before sunset I made some sunset photos but was less satisfied because of the positioning of the windmills and the position of the sun. I decided till the blue hour kicked in and I made this photo of the famous cheese farm during the. I wasn’t the only photographer who was busy there.

About the lens & camera combination:
I actually llike this combination and prefer it above my Nikon D7100 kit. It is small, light, lens is very sharp and not so much flare when shooting in the sun or street lights, I like the focus peaking and magnification combination(nice for nightphotography), facetracking is a nice feature and usefull, and it can shoot like a machine gun (handy for small kids ;-). But i won’t switch to Olympus because in the future I would like to switch to a full frame camera because I like to shoot land/sea and cityscapes.

More about the cheesefarm from the photo
The Catharina Hoeve is an authentic 17th-century cheese farm, situated at the Zaanse Schans, close to Amsterdam. The Zaanse Schans is a popular tourist attraction for good reason: its historical wooden houses, warehouses and fully-operating windmills offer a true taste of ‘Old Holland’. Upon arrival at the Catharina Hoeve you can attend a cheese making demonstration, as well as tasting the various products and exploring the gift shop, where you’ll find a wide variety of cow, sheep and goat products. Entrance and tasting is free. Demonstrations are available in multiple languages.
