London used to be a great place for cityscapes. Now, it is almost impossible to find a view that isn’t peppered with cranes and building sites. This city, that is so rife with homelessness and poverty, always seems to find money in which to expand. It never stops growing. It is so overpopulated that it is almost impossible to find an image that doesn’t contain people. With this in mind, I decided to travel up to London on Christmas night, hoping to find it deserted.

Every year, London gets busier at Christmas and as I drove into London through the West End, I found it heaving with people. This city truly never sleeps. However, I was up early Boxing Day morning and managed to get to the river before most people were awake. The city was snoozing at this early hour and as I made my way onto London beach (yes, it has a beach), I managed to find a view that avoided both people and construction sites.
