New on 500px : The A-Team by DebbieTubridy by DebbieTubridy

This dynamic duo of sub-adult polar bears could always be counted on for entertain and photo ops as they played in the frigid waters off the coast of Barter Island near Kaktovik, Alaska. If they weren’t dunking each other, posturing for a “fight”, or submerging themselves for a surprise attack, they were floating around in circles and usually finding the camera lens for a brief moment. 🙂

New on 500px : World Wildlife Day 2016 by DebbieTubridy by DebbieTubridy

In honor of World Wildlife Day 2016, here’s another image of a polar bear cub … just the cutest thing ever … who wouldn’t want to protect the threatened and endangered species alive today on our planet. Speak out, get inspired, and inspire others. Remember … “The future is in our hands”.

New on 500px : Happy International Polar Bear Day! by DebbieTubridy by DebbieTubridy

Did you know that today was a very special day? Yes, it’s International Polar Bear Day! Thought sharing another in a series of polar bear images was appropriate for today … with not just one to two, but three polar bears … mom and her two cubs. Witnessing firsthand the polar bears was a lifelong dream come true for me! Such fascinating creatures, so playful and endearing, and of course, so strong. Let’s join together to protect them and their place on our planet. 🙂

New on 500px : Wash Between The Toes by buckswildlifephotography by buckswildlifephotography

When photographing bears, and you come upon a scene such as this one, you want to be able to photograph the bear doing what he or she is doing. You want to be able to photograph them in their natural state doing what they naturally do. You also want to be able to encourage them in doing what they do naturally. In order to encourage them, you have to stay far enough away, that you don’t disturb him or her from doing what they are doing, but yet get as close as you can to get the perfect shot. In this image and all wildlife images that I take, that’s what I try to do.
