My friend Brad gave me his Nikon coolscan 4000, drivers from Nikon were not available, so I went to a 3rd party software that did offer drivers at a cost of course, well worth it. This 35mm slide is in a glass mount and was shot with a inexpensive 400 mm Prinz lens. probably taken in the late 70’s shortly after I acquired my 1st 35mm camera. Shot taken above Berkeley, Grizzly Peak Rd., looking north west.

Shooting from the regular perspective behind the chained off area at Battery Spencer would have yielded a dull red bridge obscured by fog. This shot aims to overcome the inclement weather by turning it into a compositional element to shroud much of the scene, creating a clean image.
