Mockingbird turns his back on me when he sees me taking his photo, then moons me. This is where he has the courtesy to be halfway decent. This mockingbird knows me, as he sings every day from the same tree. And if he isn’t singing, I can start whistling and he will start singing, but today he was rude. I don’t know what his problem was yesterday but today he seems fine.

Bird – Red-winged Blackbird
Juvenile male. Birds see in four colors instead of the three that we just see. They also see further on the side of blue, to the ultraviolet spectrum. I wonder what the world looks like to them. I wonder if either I am missing out, or have something even greater to loof forward to. I choose the latter.
