L’abbatiale Saint-Austremoine est une église romane située à Issoire. c’est une ancienne abbatiale bénédictine construite vers 1130. Elle est dédiée à Austremoine de Clermont premier évêque de Clermont-Ferrand et évangélisateur de l’Auvergne à la fin du IIIe siècle. Elle fait partie des cinq églises romanes de Basse-Auvergne dites « majeures ».
The abbey St. Austremoine is a Romanesque church located in Issoire. it is a former Benedictine abbey built around 1130. It is dedicated to the first bishop Austremoine of Clermont from Clermont-Ferrand and Auvergne evangelist of the late third century. She is one of five Romanesque churches of Basse-Auvergne called “major”.
