The fireworks are gone, the smokes are clearing out and to lead the people home blue beams of light were scattered on the sky.

Just 4 days left until Christmas and here it is the grand finale of the advent fireworks in ultraviolet.
Unlike red colour, violet is mysterious and calm, giving wondering feeling to the surrounding.
It is perceived as royal colour and used in expensive packing to emphasise the exclusiveness.

Christmas table 🙂
As I had one today with my friends at IKEA, we talked that most of cultures does it pretty much the same way.
Couple of days before Christmas you cook like crazy and then for the rest of the week you stuff yourself with as much food as you can.
Not sure how healthy it is, but sure it is tasty 🙂

For all of those who were waiting for the picture today, I am 2 hours late,SORRY.
I have an excuse, we had a Christmas party at our department today. And it is a great excuse as it gave me an idea to write about Christmas carols 😉
Christmas carols is a nice thing, I just heard bunch of them on our department Christmas party.
They are nice way to celebrate upcoming Christmas and New Year.
Way to go, to get into the spirit of celebration 😉

The atmosphere of this picture reminded me of quite recent story that involved mysterious lady.
OK, so it was the end of September, autumn started to kick in.
28th night promised amazing “blood” supermoon, that is seen only twice, maybe three times during your life time.
I was super excited, woke up at 4, packed and started biking.
The beginning seam not good – it was cloudy. Doesn’t matter, it suppose to last 2 hours. My spirit was high.
I reached my shooting destination. For this one I picked lake, 5 km away from the city to avoid light pollution and have nice reflection. Still cloudy.
It won’t stop me, I set my tripod, prepared camera and waited.
One and a half hour latter still nothing, just yellowish-red spot on the dense clouds. Oh and did I forgot to tell you it was cold too, so I was freezing 🙂
While I was taking yet another shot of the clouds in the night, the lady appeared next to me. As I was concerned about my shot, I haven’t noticed how she approached me.
We started to talk and tried to see that “bloody” moon 🙂
Apparently she was old Malaysian woman, who came to Sweden to work, got married, had some kids. One of them, in fact, were supposed to come with her, but was too lazy to wake up 🙂
So we chatted about nature, work, family and life.
Than since the “show” was over I had enough of cold, packed my stuff, said goodbye to the lady and left.

Uppsala is one of the major cities in Sweden and is considered to be a student city. No wonder why: it has “Universitas Regia Ubsaliensis”, big university dating back to glorious middle ages.
Also it is close to Stockholm (capital of Sweden), so a lot of people live here and commute to Stockholm every day.
It is quite vibrant city (in swedish perspective) and changes all the time.
This picture just proves it, with cranes on the left building new houses and facilities. There is a lot of them right now in Uppsala and it is bound to be more.

Lucia – is official celebration of light in Sweden. As it is on Sunday (13th of December), the celebration was moved to Friday, that is yesterday.
In scientific department (where I work) Lucia is celebrated a little bit different than usual.
First – the candles are exchanged for glow sticks, than the traditional songs are twisted in the scientific and chemical way 🙂
We end up with funny and nice songs, for example: Santa Lucia, becomes Santa Kemia, Jingle bells becomes lab reports etc.
Fun
